Federico Tramarin

Federico Tramarin was born in 1984 in Badia Polesine, a small town near Rovigo - Italy.

In july 2006 he got his degree (summa cum laude) in Information Engineering at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova with a thesis on the implementation of a soft Viterbi decoder for the ECMA368 UWB standard (supervisor Prof. Nicola Laurenti).

In july 2008 he got his master degree (summa cum laude) in Electronic Engineering at the same department with a thesis on the implementation of a cross-layer simulator to investigate coexistence issues among different WSNs, especially IEEE 802.15.4 and Wi-Fi (supervisor Prof. Matteo Bertocco).

At the moment, he is a PhD Student (second year) at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova.

He works with the Electronic Measurement Group @ EMC Lab.
His main field of research is the study of interference among different wireless systems, such as Wi-Fi, Wireless Sensor Networks and WirelessHART systems, and the electromagnetic compatibility applied to electronic devices design.
He is author of about ten scientific works, for national and international conferences and journal.
